The Royal Mail brought me a wonderful package from June. It came couple of weeks ago or so and I'm really sorry I'm posting so late. To make a long story short - my life stopped for a while, thankfully I'm almost back to normal... here are the goodies from June
Thank you so much dear June, I love absolutely everything!
So long my friends,

Posting A Label
Good morning everyone! It's chilly and rainy here in eastern NC this morning, but it's a beautiful day anyway. I'm looking forward to stitching a good part of the day on my "Quaker Diamonds" piece. I love working on it and love all the colors.
I was wondering how to post under labels. Is this something that Evalina does for us or is it something I can do myself?
Ya'll have a wonderful week and don't forget, "If you love color you can feel it". Here are some little hands that can literally feel them!
Until next time, stay warm, safe and well.
Nearly forgot! I sent out my very first RAK today and I'm excited for the recipient! Check your email everyone!

I'm back and I have received a wonderful RAK.
Hello Everyone, I'm Deborah and I have rejoined the site after several months away, I didn't expect to be gone for so long but I am happy to be back.
A few days ago I received a wonderful surprise in the mail from Jacquie M. my first ever RAK, I can tell you I was so thrilled to open the package and find spring stitchery items inside.
This first photo shows everything that was packed into my box
The Friendship Grows box is just lovely and tucked inside were some tasty chocolates and you can guess I did munch one while I was snapping photos.
The Easter Wishes Egg makes me wish that someday my stitching will be half as good. I'll and the egg to my Easter Centerpiece basket.
Also in the box were these lovely pastel buttons, I have loved and collected buttons since I was a child and these will work out nicely for a project I have on my drawing board.
The tin dove was tucked into the Friendship Grows box and is now hanging from the arm of my reading lamp.
The handcrafted giving Bunny is so adorable and I was planning to make a few of them myself to send off to friends and leave a few anonymously here and there. Here is the link for the Giving Bunny project http://www.urbanthreads.com/tutorials.aspx?t=The+Giving+Bunny+Project
The teapot and the floral frame pattern are so me, and the little sketchbook with the window frame just waiting for a small cross stitch piece will come in handy.
There are strips of ribbon, a scented candle and a copy of Cross Stitch Crazy magazine pieces of pink and yellow aida cloth, ribbons and embroidery floss all which will be used in future projects.
Thank you Jacquie for the lovely RAK it certainly brightened my day.

Hello Everyone!
I'm finally officially a member of RAK and I'm very excited about it. I love putting little gifts together and sending them out to brighten someone's day. I'm LindaLee from Cross'N My Stitches, and have been blogging for about three years. Love meeting people and making friends. Here's a picture of me and my dear hubby, Bill.
I love to cross stitch and I actually do nearly any kind of needlework. My mother taught me to knit when I was five. I'll never forget looking at the little swatch I was working on and seeing holes here and there in it. I'd drop a stitch and my mom would put it back on the needle. Good memories.
Bill and I live in eastern North Carolina. Both transplants from New Hampshire and we do love the warmer climate here. There will always be things that we miss from back home though.
I have a surprise gift ready to go, but do not have the receiver's address. Are the member's address posted somewhere here on RAK? Any help would be appreciated.
Stop by my blog sometime for a visit and see what I might be working on at the time. I love meeting people. My wish list is posted there also.
Color? If you love it you can feel it!

I have finally posted it!
(Borrowed from Google Images)
Hello stitchy friends,..
I just wanted to say a huge thank you for being patient with me ... I hear you all say "What for??" Well I have been a member of the group for a little while now and only just managed to get my RAK out!
I really did enjoy putting the RAK together but I have to tell you it did cause me some stress wondering who to send it to. In the end after taking a little advice form a fellow stitcher I put names in a hat and my husband pulled the ticket out with the person's name! So it was totally done at random!
I noticed that some of you have wish lists... I have now joined in on this! I was worried about doing a wish list but then thought its only somewhere to put everything I like and love and hope to buy one day to stitch! Some of your wish lists are amazing and I wish I was a lottery winner so I could buy you each something. :)
So the main reason for this post was really to say I have done it and its gone and apparently it will or should arrive at its destination hopefully soon!! This is the very first RAK I have sent out so naturally I am anxious... hopefully the next one I send out will be less stressful!
I love to give and hope that the person I have sent it to likes it...
Happy stitching everyone :)

Hello from Aurora, Colorado! My name is Michele Stravato and I am new to the group. I tried to post a couple of days ago without much luck, so hopefully this one will work.
I am married with two teen-age, soccer playing boys, so yes, I am busy. Luckily my husband does all the cooking and grocery shopping. He also works from home, which helps with the boys crazy schedules. Besides soccer, the boys are also participating in their high school robotics program. The district competition is April 3-5 and assuming they do not make it to the national competition, our lives will slow down slightly after April 5.
I first learned cross stitching in high school and try and find time every day for at least a little stitching. I love to read trashy paranormal romance stories on my Nook and I was into vampires looooooooong before they became trendy or sparkled.
My hair is strawberry blonde, my favorite color is purple and I am very excited to join this group!

Fairies anyone?
The below booklet is one that I would love to pass along to another stitcher. It has the three charts shown in the picture. I have already stitched the one I bought the booklet for and would much rather send it to someone who would like it than for it to sit in a drawer. If you are interested please leave a comment and if there is more than one I will use the random number generator to choose. I am more than happy to send anywhere!

Hello from Gillie!
Well, having sent off my first RAK, suppose I had better introduce myself! Though looking at the list I know most, if not all of you, through blogs, groups and even face to face!
I'm Gillie, wife to the World Traveller, who doesn't quite as much now, thank goodness and mostly now in the US. We live on a small lake in south west Michigan which right now is giving me fits as it has been frozen and covered with the white stuff for about five weeks. that coupled with the sun gives me migraines.....
We have three children living in Wyoming, Pittsburgh and DC with grandchildren (four and a "borrowed" one) so we accumulate a lot of air miles and I can tell you where the Starbucks are in quite a few airports! We are British but the US kindly gave us citizenship a couple of years ago.
I fell into the blogging world via The Cross Stitch Guild forum where I saw that someone living in Gloucestershire had a blog. A blog? What's that, for goodness sake? Well, I took the plunge and began a blog and five or six years later here I still am, I blog at Random Thoughts from Abroad, please pop over and say hi!

Thanks, Gillie!
I'm popping in quick to say thank you to Gillie for brightening what has been a very long week due to the ice storms our area suffered earlier in the week. I was so surprised to find an envelope in my mailbox containing the sweetest little ornament finish that I had admired on her blog, Random Thoughts from Abroad. I was giddy like a schoolgirl!! I hope to post on my blog soon and will show a picture there.
Thanks again, Gillie....it was truly a random act and a complete surprise!

Would Like to introduce myself...
Hello every one :)
My name is Jacquie and I am 42 years old. I have complex learning difficulties.... dyslexia, dyspraxia and dyscalculia but I dont let them hold me back!
I love learning new things and challenging myself. I have been doing counted cross stitch for years now...I forget how many! I am self taught so always open to advice and tips. I love cross stitching its taught me lots of things....patience for one! Up until recently I only ever stitched on Aida..various counts. I thought for 2014 I would challenge myself to try to stitch on linen. I bought a chart and sourced all the threads and then I started on linen...
This is where I am right now.... its been a real joy stitching so far. The chart is called Sampler Game Board by The Drawn Thread and I am very proud of myself for attempting this. I do hope to have it finished soon. As for other things I have stitched... I am on Google + and have a folder where I put all my work... feel free to take a peek HERE. I dont really have a particular taste when it comes to stitching... I just stitch what makes me happy. I love all the American charts, they just all seem so cute. I subscribe to Just Cross Stitch (American Magazine) via digital subscription as there is nothing like it in England. As far as English magazines I subscribe to The World Of Cross Stitching, Cross Stitch Crazy and Cross Stitch Gold... never have too many magazines!
Recently I was in Cross Stitch Crazy... issue 185
And The World Of Cross Stitching... issue 213
I live at home with my husband who I now care for due to an accident he had at work during 2010. I also have an 18 nearly 19 year old daughter who is at college studying art and design. Here is a photo of my daughter and I ..
I live in Southern England, returned in 2010 as my parents live here ... I class myself as being continental as I have grown up in Germany and worked and lived in France too. I love to travel and see new places.... I would love to visit the USA and Canada at some point just to see it and experience it for myself.
I do have a blog, I blog daily as I am on a mission.... I have been blogging for just over a year now to help me lose weight. I photograph everything I eat. I chat about what goes on in my daily life... and cross stitch! Its been a really valuable tool for me as I can look at how far I have come. I am healthier and actually slimmer too.... still have more weight to lose but its about nearly 5 stone now... around 70 pounds. I feel better and am loving how I am changing. One last photo to share and that is of my changing face... this is the one that shocks me the most and the one that drives me forward to lose more weight..
HERE is the link to my blog :)
That is me!!

Giveaway winner and new members announcement!
Yesterday I asked my MIL to draw a name of my giveaway winner and she picked Butterfly (June). What a coincidence - I was a winner of her giveaway just a day before! Well, I thought about it and thought some little more and ask her to draw a second name... This time she picked Catherine. I decided to send not one but two giveaways, both ladies will receive a surprise package from me. Congratulations to both of you!
And we have three new members. Tricia, Jacquie and Gillie decided to join our little group - here is a big hug to all of you! Shortly I will email to each member an updated mailing list. Please let me know if you did not receive it, maybe I'm missing your email address. The list will go out in the next thirty minutes.
It would be lovely if our newest members can introduce themselves by making a post on this blog.
I was also thinking about a welcome package to our new members. Does anybody has any ideas? Your input is precious!
So long my friends,
Evalina

Jungle Baby
I would be happy to send this chart to a new home. I stitched it as a gift for a first time mom of twins and am now hoping someone else will enjoy it. It was such a fun stitch. Don't know anyone that's expecting??? Each square would look great stitched separately as an ornie or just take off the bottom band for the name. I am willing to ship anywhere! Please leave a comment if you are interested. If more than one stitcher is interested, I'll do a random draw :)
