This came all the way from Singapore as a birthday gift! Thank you so much Angela, it was really sweet of you. I have never tried working with wool felt and I will be delighted to experiment a new technique! Big big thank you!

I'm back!!!
Hello :)
Now that my stitching mojo has finally returned, I thought it would be fun to re-join this blog that I started back in 2012.
For those that don't already know me......my name is Angela from Hooked on Stitches. I've been stitching for just over 20 years and just taught myself to knit last December. I think I might be best known for my sewing box finishes! I love Blackbird Designs, Country Cottage Needleworks, Little House Needleworks, Lizzie*Kate, Blue Ribbon Designs and my new found love for Mirabilia/Nora Corbett Designs. I have big plans to stitch a whole wall of Mirabilia finishes, you can see my very first finish, Stargazer, on my blog now.
I would like to send out a RAK to someone interested. If anyone is interested then leave me a comment and I will use that random thingy to pick someone. Please indicate whether you would like a stitched item, a knitted item or either :) I'll announce my first RAK "victim" on August 16th.
Looking forward to being a part of the group again!
Edited **I just got some potentially bad news about my husband, will know more next week but i will have to put the first RAK on hold for a bit longer ** Thanks for understanding!

HOME
I AM GOING HOME TODAY! MY PLATELETS HAVE GONE UP TO 125,000 AND SHOULD CONTINUE TO RISE. Yes! There will be appointments for blood draws and checks. Chemo infusion once a week for a few weeks "no cancer remember". So later on today I'll be sitting out on our screened deck enjoying a cup of coffee with Bill and watching the birds again. Prayers are still welcomed and so appreciated. This was all in His plan for me. I've learned so much while here in the hospital and have so much to tell. God is good. Thank you all my sweet friends here! I love you all so
much for caring.

+++Update on LindaLee+++
Still in hospital and platelets on a "very slow" upswing which is goo. I have been on a chemo drug for 13 days now and another was added yesterday. This second one is infused and took about five hours. No bad effects from this second medication which I'll receive every eight days. Want to remind ya'll that I don't have cancer, praise the Lord. Just the fact that my platelets dropped dangerously low after my spleen removal is what has kept me here. My infusions of platelets have decreased though, so something positive is happening.
In the meantime, I am appreciating all prayers, and please keep them coming so that I may become well enough to go home. Love ya'll.

Hello Everyone!
Hello all. I'd like to introduce myself. Some of you know me already and I am really pleased to be part of this group.
My name is Hazel and my blog is Quietly Stitching. I am nearing the big 4 0 next year and have been stitching since I was 17. I started stitching around the same time that I became a Christian and so my faith is very important to me. I am married with two children, 11 and 6 years old and I live in the Peak District in Derbyshire in the UK. I went back to work as a secondary school teacher two years ago and I work in an independent Christian school where both my children attend (it has a primary attached). I really love my job but during term times it leaves little time for stitching and crafts. So I make good use of the holidays.
I have been stitching for a long time. I started out with cutesy Country Companions designs but then moved on very quickly to more elaborate designs like Mirabilia. Once I got started online with blogging and forums, the world of stitching really opened up and I began to find many designs that really appealed to me like samplers and reproduction samplers. I think these kind of designs really define me as a stitcher although I am not averse to the odd sparkly project now and again! I have been involved with many exchanges over the past few years and have often done RAKs and giveaways on my blog. In fact I am having a giveaway on my blog right now. This has been a wonderful opportunity to get to know fellow stitchers from across the globe and I am looking forward to getting to know some of you too and sending a few RAKs out.
My favourite designers would include (but not limited to) Blackbird Designs, Carriage House Samplings, Heartstrings Samplery, LHN, CCN, Lizzie*Kate, The Sampler Girl amongst many others. I have just ordered my first My Big Toe designs chart as I love the scriptures on them so will see how that goes. I have also just signed up for the autoship of the new CCN ornies due to start soon. I love most things and autumn is my favourite season esp the colours but I don't like halloween designs or anything "witchy" or horoscopes. I love hand dyed fabrics in natural/subtle shades and also hand dyed threads. I am hoping to try my hand at hardanger soon as well.
Well that's a little about me. I am going to be having a little browse around your blogs and posts and try and get a feel for how this works. Look forward to RAKing some of you soon.
